She than helped friendly competently and assigned me a car. When I got to the assigned car another driver was in the car already. So: back to the counter!
There the double assignment fortunately was resolved quickly and I was assigned another car.
Terry H at the check out gate was incredibly rude! I Was told at the counter if I didn't like my assigned vehicle, I could pick another from a designated row for the same price, which I did. Terry H freakedout on me once I got to the checkout gate to leave the airport. He started yelling, telling me I committed a serious violation and tried to get me to apologize. INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL! You should not be yelling at your customers and being conceding. I do not know how your system works, as I do not work at Avis. Your counter personal should not tell people they can choose from a designated row if that is "not allowed". Will not be renting from this location ever again...

When I got to Houston after a long haul flight and went to pick up my car, there was a line of at least 15 people at the “Preferred Counter” and only on agent to take care of them. The line did not move at all. And after waiting for quiet a while I lost patience.
I'll be back to Houston soon... and I'll be renting from Avis again... and again!
But still after a long flight no one wants to spend an hour or more to pick up a reserved rental car, run forth and back and so on.
The folks that didn’t complain to the supervisor surely waited way longer.
Easy pick up, nice folks, pretty good rate for the week, and was upgraded to a new Lincoln SUV!!!
Very good deal. Excelent rental and insurance price. Brand new vehicle, and the ability of choose from many in the same segment.
I went inside to the regular counter, that also had a long line and only one or two agents at it. I asked for a supervisor. The agent told me pretty unfriendly that she would call her. It took very long before she showed up.
By complaining I sort of skipped the line and felt embarrassed about it. People who were originally in line before me at the beginning we’re still cueing when I drove off.
