Customer service is the only reason I gave only 2 stars. They are always unprofessional, lazy, and rude and it's alaways a long wait to get a car because it's never anyone at the counters, and when they come they are still not very helpful; unnecessary waiting. I did finally complain about it my last time experiencing that because the lady finally came as I was trying to use the kiosk since no one was there and even though she knew the kiosks were down she said nothing. The guy I reported it to was very nice and helpful; i think his name is Chris. He was very polite and professional. If they could improve customer service then it would be 3 maybe 4 stars because it's usually quick service when returning, and I never have any issues with the cars.
We were very impressed with the Service in Houston, TX. at the Hobby Airport. The Young lady was very hospitable and made a few recommendations which were greatly appreciated. On returning the car a staff member actually drove us back to the main departure to help with my wife's disability. Excellent Service!
Alamo has an awesome customer service team at Houston Hobby Airport. They went the extra mile to be sure I was happy with my recent rental car. It was a smooth process from start to finish. However, the total price which is unrelated to the team should be more reasonable for a full week rental.
So far we've been waiting 30 mins to get a car that we reserved weeks ago. After the check in person finishes all the paperwork, they then have to go get your car while everyone continues to wait in line. The kiosks for check-in were not working either. They will definitely need a new system before I rent here again. I gave them 2 stars because the price was good.
Great service. No pressure at the counter, which is very important to me. So many times when I have checked out at rental car companies, there has been a hard sell at the counter to up me to a more expensive vehicle, add on insurance, add on fuel prepay services. I understand the companies need to offer, but I find the pushiness a huge turnoff. I really appreciate the ease if my counter experience at this location. Plus they offered a complimentary bottle of water for the ride home!
