Great environment for your pet. Easy entrance with nice area for canine friends to "sniff" in. Pleasant, non-pushy staff and expert medical help. Been patient here for over three years and enjoy every visit.
I have never have to worry about my pets care here. They are always courteous and every animal I've ever owned has always loved the technicians and the vets.
I received a call from Lakewood about a week later letting me know how sad they were to hear of our family's loss and that they really got to know our pet and cared for her while she was being treated there.
They also sent a note with condolences.
They ultimately have compassion for the animals they treat and the knowledge to treat them.
I've been taking my animals here for years. My parents started bringing our dogs here when I was a child and I've continued taking my dogs here as well. I went in today to get heartworm prevention for my dog. There's always been a cat having out at this clinic, but today there were at least 3 loose cats that I saw and one loose dog. Also, the tech that gave my puppy his shot was barefoot. Least professional experience I've ever had coming here. I think it's time to find a new vet.
We recently had to be referred for some diagnostic testing that Lakewood did not offer and ended up having to put our pet to sleep. This was heartbreaking!
LFVH has taken care of all of our pets for years (dogs and cat). My dog is always happy to go in there without anxiety because they treat her so well. The vets are good about balancing treatment recommendations with budget boundaries so that as an owner you know what really needs to be done vs. "recommended but not necessary". The staff there are all super friendly to both man and beast, and when I leave my dog there for boarding I know that she is cared for (not just fed). People truly have a heart for the animals in their care. Very friendly and helpful office staff, and knowledgeable vets. Great place to take a beloved pet.
4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes there is room for improvement in communication, but this is still a really good vet clinic, boarding facility, and groomer.
