Awesome facility great staff My Dad nurses were All Angels wow great services. Thanks for everything y'all the very best.
We took our 4 year old who was having lower abdominal pain in to be seen and hopefully treated. We were taken back by a male nurse with a long white beard who weighed and measured my son then greated by a female nurse who obviously did not care to be there. She asked a few questions and took my child's vital signs and proceeded to explain that she would be drawing blood and getting a urine sample to send off to the lab. About and hour and a half after the blood was drawn and the urine was sent in for testing the CT technician comes in our room and asks to take my 4 year old to get his CT scan done. I was shocked! No one EVER came to speak to us about blood work results or his urine results. I asked the technician what the reason for the CT scan and he said it was because his blood work came back normal....I then asked to have the doctor come speak to us because we had concerns about our child getting the contrast for the CT scan. The doctor NEVER came to our room. We were taken to the CT room and the Technician (who was the ONLY plesant person) explained that my child would have to be comepletly still for the scan. WELL being that my 4 year old was having lower abdominal pain it was imposible to have him lay flat on his back. when I explained it to the Tech, he totally understood but when I told the nurse, her reaction was " Well, we will just discharge him!" ..... AND THAT WAS IT! my son was discharged and NOTHING was done to help him ease his pain. The doctor NEVER once showed her face to explain any of our concers and the female nurse was there just because she needs a paycheck. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICE!
I didn't listen to the negative reviews on here and it cost me over $10,000. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review but this hospital should be charged with extortion. A 2 hour visit with only routine blood work and an ultrasound done cost me over $10,000. If that's not criminal, I don't know what is.
I just got back home from here and must say it was the best stay I've ever had, nurses always made sure I was not in pain and were there within 2 minutes to help me. Very knowledgeable team of nurses and doctors and made sure to give me tips for when I was at home. Again every nurse from my room to the operating room were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back if I needed to!!
To management, if you are reading this, please notice all your negative reviews and make an effort to put your patients first and provide at least some level of customer service. There is no way sick patients who put their trust in you should be charged this amount of money for a one or two hour visit, not given any explanation, and not have anyone to contact for some explanation. This is not right what you are doing to people.
And good luck trying to get anyone at all to help you. All you will get is the run-around. They will not do even basic things like send your script to your pharmacy, provide you with your itemized bill, let you speak to a manager (who never seems to be there and comes in when he likes). This place is all about making money and does not care about you as the patient. To make matters even worse (if that was possible), they mis-diagnosed me as well. Please stay away from this place, don't make the same mistake as I or others have made.
This was my first experience here with First Texas Hospital and I must say even though I wasn't feeling well upon my arrival but from the time I entered the the building the staff here they were nothing less than welcoming andi could feel the warm hospitality and felt that they were very concerned with my well being and health. They are very kind, caring, very professional. They were also very understanding of what I said or needed. I would recommend anybody to come here and make First Texas their first choice to getting the best professional service from well trained and professional staff. Thanks to every single Nurse and every single Respiratory Tech, the Dietary staff for the hospitality and most of all Dr. Ho for everything he done also while I was here. God Bless and thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. -Signed Brittany Harrell, Patient
