Bottom line, go to a different hospital if at all possible!
I came in transferred from the ER and when i arrived everything was set up in advance for me. I had to have immediate knee surgery and everyone from housekeeping to the head surgeon was amazing. I've NEVER been hospitalized so this was an experience I'll remember for a long time. I had a great team of Dr's and Nurses that were truly at the top of their game. Im blessed and humbled to have them assist me during my stay here!
My daughter had twins at this hospital. Most of the nurses were rude and bossy. They don’t even have a nursery here, so the babies are in the room with the mom the whole time. I think they’re trying to cut down on costs, but I’m sure the bill won’t be less expensive. Personally I think new moms should be given the opportunity to let the babies go back to the nursery and have a little break if they would like, but that’s not an option at this hospital. My other grandson was born at Memorial Hermann off Gessner. They took him in the nursery after he was born, and all the family members were able to watch through windows as they cleaned him up. At this place, we haven’t had that exeperience at all — and on top of that, as I said, many of the nurses are rude. I understand that this is their day-to-day job and it isn’t an exciting moment for them, but they should at least TRY to act happy and enthusiastic.
My husband and I have had several interactions with both the ER and inpatient care. Everyone we have experienced have been absolutely wonderful!! The kindness and care we both received was phenomenal. Highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need. Wonderful staff here, the people here truly enjoy their jobs. Thank y'all!!
I went into the ER at this hospital because it was in-network. My insurance company was able to get the original bill (over $15,000) lowered down to less than $300 for a rough 4 hour visit - 1 scan. I then get a $2,000 bill because the doctor in the ER was out-network. I just want everyone to know about the "surprise billing!" I thought I was protected in the emergency room considering the hospital was in-network. I didn't get to choose my doctor. If I would have known, I obviously wouldn't have used that doctor.
My girlfriend was told to go to the E.R. by a Doctor at a small clinic because of her low iron. We went to Cy Fair because it is close to where we live and the whole experience was great. She waited in the E.R. for about 30 minutes and they admitted her to a nice room within an hour and a half. The staff was friendly and she was treated very well. She feels a lot better now. She doesn't have insurance and she was still seen and treated as if she did. I give everyone there a big thumbs up!
