I ordered a dishwasher over the phone from Mohammad at the Sara on Katy Frwy. Competitively priced! As it was just starting to be manufactured in my desired color, I had to wait. He kept me informed; and when it arrived, it was an evening delivery. The installer was superb. He was worth the wait as he was proficient and went out of his way to please. I never met Mohammad face to face, but the deal was great. Love my new Kitchenaid dishwasher and my experience with Sara!
I am really, really pleased with the service I got from Mohammad when I ordered a Kitchenaid conduction stovetop from him. This was a really difficult ...transaction. But Mohammad gave me a good price and patiently worked with me until I was satisfied with the purchase. Word of warning - Try to have a live demonstration of an induction stovetop first, and be sure your pans are magnetic on the bottom. They may look stainless steel and magnetic to you, but you really have to put a magnet to it. I had done a lot of online research on this induction stovetop and Mahammad gave me a good price, but for my budget, this stove top was expensive. I hired an appliance person to install it, but this stupid person didn't bring in any pans to demonstrate to me that the stove top worked. In fact he told me every pan I had, even my magnetic ones didn't work. So I called Kitchen Aid, and they sent someone out. Again, the second person didn't bring any magnetic pans that worked, and told me all my pans wouldn't worked. Mohammad came out to my home on his own time (before the store opened) with a magnetic pan. He showed me that some of the touch controls needed to be touched a few times before they picked up touch signal from my fingers. He showed me how to work the stove top. Most of my pans do work, and now that I've been using it, I've gotten better at using the right touch so that controling it is simple. And I LOVE MY INDUCTION STOVETOP. It's been the most exciting purchase I have ever made. And if Mohammad hadn't taken the time to work with me on it, it's possible that I would have just junked this new stovetop and had the old one reinstalled. I was pleased with the price and service I got from Sara.
I bought a Miele dishwasher from Sara Appliance & Electronics and had them install the item. Within a year the screws to the dishwasher started popping out. I called Sara A & E to ask them to come and fix it. The gal who answered the phone said that was normal because the dishwasher door was being opened and closed. What? In 20 years I have never had a dishwasher lose a single screw. I left a message for the store manager and my call was never returned. I wanted to buy locally to be socially conscious and support the local economy and my "neighbors" in business, yet when I needed them to provide support for their product, they were as helpful as if I purchased the item on the internet. Next time I will be getting the best price, this local vendor is not socially conscious.
