Finally we decided to call one last time and tell them to just not come at all, since it was getting late. Then after FOUR hours, they said they're almost at the location.
I needed a moving company a few days ago and my friend recommended Moving Stars Inc., to me. I asked him a few questions about the moving company as I was quite nervous at first about going for a company I had never tried. After all, how could I try an unknown company?
Absolutely the worst movers I've ever encountered. These guys (DJ and Eddy) were FOUR HOURS LATE. We waited and waited for them to show up, kept calling the company and they repeatedly said "sorry, they'll be there soon."
One of the men was so incredibly rude and unprofessional. He even went so far as to make comments about our furnitures appearance, which is ridiculous because we lost just about everything in a FLOOD!! Of course the furniture is going to have water damage and not look as pretty as before!
So after waiting so long for them to show, they give us some BS excuse on why they were late (and hadn't bothered to even call) that they had been supposedly "moving a hoarder old woman".
My experience with their staff was also very good. They were friendly and helpful. Overall I found their service to be highly satisfying. If I ever need to move again, I would contact them only.
The company was quite affordable and accommodating. The weather had deteriorated on the day of the move, and I feared cancellation but the team pulled it off. Thank you, Moving Stars Inc. You guys are amazing!
I highly recommend Moving Stars Inc., when it comes to moving. These guys are the best at what they do. They don’t waste your time and follow your instructions to the T.
Moving Stars Inc. are great company and one of the best right now on the market. My friend advised me to give these movers a try since I was really concerned about the safety of my belongings. I needed really careful strong movers that will take a great care of my antique furniture and will not scratch or rip a thing. My friend really liked Pure Movers and said that Pure works like a clock - everything was wrapped and protected for free, there was no time stretching, there was no damages and the attitude of movers was very pleasant.
They proceeded to damage our couch (broke a leg off and scraped up the back of it), they majorly scraped up our dining table, damaged the planks on the bottom of the bed, and put scratches on our tv!
Five stars, no question about it. Job well done!
I had 3 movers and one truck for the move, Alex, Danny and Chris. All movers were great. Danny did some magic tricks with wrapping my coach. I mean this thing is really heavy and he was able to put it on a side, flip it upside down, wrap it in plastic and blankets in minutes, all by himself! Alex and Chris were also great movers. They carried all the big items down the stairs without any struggle.
The team arrived at my house at the given time and the move began. They completed the job before the deadline. Furthermore, they had packed everything in labelled boxes, this made everything much easier for me.
The only thing that would help these guys out would be to get them some of those lift straps that go around the waist and over the shoulders --- I couldn't believe they were lifting such heavy loads (and on stairs, no less!) with pure man-power. The straps would make their job a lot less stressful on their bodies!
At the last minute I had to switch movers and find a new company. I called Moving Stars Inc. and they were very nice and able to move my items at a fair price. The movers were very nice and hard working but I don't think they were trained properly to move certain things. I have damaged and scratched items and some broken items. I noticed an item was missing the next day, however I do not think it was stolen, I think it was broken and I was not informed. I called the company after about 2 weeks, when I noticed another item missing because I felt I was being too nice in not reporting the other issues, a young lady took my name and number and said the claim adjuster would call me, he never did. Two days later I called back to drop my complaint because I just didn't want to deal with ongoing calls and dealing with insurance, the young man's tone suggested that I had waited too long to call by stating "so you're just now calling". When I told him I was calling to drop the complaint and the claims adjuster did not need to call me, things seemed better. If you go with this comapny you will get hard working movers no doubt, I do however think some type of training should be in place because people don't need men to lift heavy items, people need movers to properly ensure their items are moved from one place to the other without being damaged.
My final bill turned out to be actually less than I expected. Moving Stars Inc. really exceeded my expectations. Definitely recommend them to all my friends and relatives!
They did take a few small breaks, since the stairs were involved in the move and everyone will be exhausted after multiple trips back and forth. The good thing is that all these breaks were deducted from the total time.
Please do not use this company, you will regret it! They don't care at all about taking care of your possessions.
So I decided to give them a try. And I was very very happy with this choice.
Awesome. When you hire a moving company, it's a coin toss as to what you're going to get, but the coin landed on "heads" with this one! Adam and Chris showed up earlier than expected, with a positive attitude and ready to get to work. And what work --- our previous home was a tri-level (actually FOUR levels if you count the garage) which meant lots of stairs, and some pretty heavy furniture. Some of it had to be moved to the garage to await a future garage sale, but they made it down all three flights of stairs safely and without losing their composure. :) Even the china cabinet arrived to our new home without a scratch on it. They were quick, efficient, careful with our belongings, and moved a four bedroom, three bath house in a little over six hours. And what you read about no added charges is absolutely the truth --- hourly rate, times the number of hours/quarter hours = what you pay. So different from the other companies I called, who had trip charges, wanted deposits, etc. etc....
These movers are everything my friend talked about. They are very polite, they are super fast.
Once I was convinced, I did my own research and spoke to an agent who answered to me politely and in detail. Once I was satisfied, I decided to hire them, they listened to my requirements and presented me with their plan for the move. We finalized the deal after I told them I was satisfied with their plan and they sent their team to my house the next day.
