I went to see the premier of A Very Sordid Wedding here. Absolutely loved the show however..... The beautiful historic old theater is being terribly neglected by the current owners and management. The inside looks so run down and the air conditioning is almost non existent. It really wasn't hot outside but the temperature in the theater got so bad that it was almost unbearable. I was soaked completely with sweat when i was leaving the theater. I love old historic places like this and love the type movies they show however i don't think i will be back unless the problem with the air conditioning is addressed.
Love this old time theater! Has a good bar for drinks and all the old feels that make you feel like going back in time. One of my husband and I's favorite date night spots
I love this place, and I extra love how it will play Rocky Horror picture show almost all the time! This place is amazing! I also like how it offers movies in different languages with subtitles, as some of my favourite movies are French, well basically just in another language in general!!
I wish I liked this theater more, because they screen some great movies there. But I was so uncomfortable the entire time. The seats are literally like airline seats, but with less leg room. I'm only 5'4", and my knees were almost touching the seat in front of me. Also, they allowed people in the theater after the movie had already started. It was super distracting. The theater is tiny, and there's no ante-room for the door, and every time it would open, it was so immersion-breaking. The door was so squeaky, and would let in a ton of bright light. At least spray some WD-40 on the hinges. The a.c.was also super loud. And they aren't strict about the "no cell phone" rule, so people were using their phones throughout the movie. It's not enough to tell people to silence their phones. The phone screen itself is just as distracting as the noise it makes.
Beautiful interior! Super stoked about the classic horror movies they're showing.
