Best Dentist ever. Has done many many procedures on me over the years and not once has he let me down. Best use of needle and numbing areas that I have ever had.

My family dentist was away, and I had a painful toothache. My dentist's office made arrangements for me to visit Dr West of Memorial City Dentistry next day, 08/01/17. I was told Dr West was my dentist's on call dentist. I arrived there this morning and, as with all doctors' offices, I was presented with forms, including an insurance form. After filling everything out and was in the process of handing them over to the lady in the front, an older lady grabbed the forms and told me they don't take insurance! That every patient paid out of pocket and filed their own claims for reimbursement. This woman turned me away, although it was clear I was in a lot of pain. Now we all know medical or dental claims are filed by providers. There are codes used for these filings that can only be completed by billing depts. so I decided to dig a little more. I found, not surprisingly, that this office DOES accept insurance. I called several hours later posing as a new patient needing an appointment. The front confirmed they do take insurance. I have a recording of the bizarre telephone conversation between us. Bizarre because, when I made her realize it was me, she absolutely changed her mind about accepting insurance. I'm sure "certain" people get wonderful treatment here, as I can see from a few other reviews. But a medical or dental office that chooses who it provides service to is, to me, unscrupulously unethical. I contacted Dr West this morning to try to understand why this happened. But he chose to remain silent.
Dr. West is the most skilled and caring dentist. I recommend him and his staff to everyone. He makes you feel confident that all of your dental problems will be addressed in supportive way.
