This is not a very "southern" place (and I've lived in / dined in South and North Carolina for almost four years). The shrimp and grits didn't have any flavor. The shrimps were nice, fresh and juicy, but the flavor just wasn't there. The eggs Benedict was also bland, and the side salad that it came with was bitter. It seems that the locals get the fried chicken, so that might be better than what we got.

Trendy place. Creative dishes inspired by comfort food. Let's be clear, it's not a meat and three kind of place.

We weren't fans of the sangria - it was too sweet - but the food was amazing!

Pros:

The braised greens followed the trend. They had a little kick at the end that was just the right amount.

Fresh interests

The shrimp and grits weren't what I was expecting. It wasn't as heavy as I'm used to. It was light on seasoning and butter... for shrimp and grits, but it was clearly prepared with fresh ingredients, and the broth was very tasty. I spooned every last ounce I could get!

Their brunch is packed!

Finishing up Sunday brunch for my birthday with a group of 15. Great food, service, and the music was perfect. We sat outside, nice and relaxing. Highly recommended this restaurant. Thanks to Gary, our waiter, for great service.

Live music was way too loud

Great atmosphere and good food. Sunday is a popular choice for brunch. Place is packed. I would recommend that you make a reservation.

All in all, great meal. I would return!

Has vegetarian options

Long wait time if you don't have a reservation (so make a last minute reservation if needed or they'll take a long time to seat you)

The green eggs and ham were wonderful, too. The flavors were distinctive. The pork might not have paired with the goat cheese, but eaten separately, the dish is fantastic.

Cons:

The flavor

Friend green tomatoes were perfect. Chili biscuits were different, glad I tried them. Scallops did not disappoint. A bit pricey but a fun detour from the normal chains.

Good service

The bread pudding. GET. IT. The berries and cream were fresh and warm, and we devoured the dish in a minute!
