Only been for breakfast so my comments only pertain to that. With that said, the breakfast is simple, easy and well done. For example, the steel cut oats are perfectly done - perfectly cooked and portion size is just right.
The first time I visited Eloise Nichols, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I hadn't heard about the restaurant, so usually that's not good. The doors were open throughout the restaurant, which made it bright and warm. It's such a quaint spot. I wasn't sure what type of wine to order, so the waitress was so kind to let me sample to see what I preferred. I ordered the Grouper with 3 bean salad. The Grouper was delicious with a nice salty flavor. I also ordered the brussel sprouts . Brussel sprouts aren't always the easiest to cook. They were sweet and seasoned well with a nice crispy texture. I visited another time with coworkers. We tried happy hour first. They even had hot chicken on the menu. The restaurant changes its menu up seasonally. I decided to try the short ribs, which isn't always on the menu. They were the best. I'd recommend visiting. It's also big enough for large parties. The price is reasonable. I paid about $27 including the tip for my meal. They now offer breakfast too in the mornings during the week and brunch on the weekends.

Would like to come back for dinner as the bourbon and whiskey selection looks to be top notch.

After coming back several times, I want to add I find this place one of the best breakfast ambiances in Houaton. And on a cool Houston fall morning, the steel cut oats are the best in town.
Great service. Beautiful space. I had the strip steak which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were heavenly. The steak was cooked perfectly medium. I went with friends, but this would be a great date spot.
