May Lu approached us with the check asking to pay now while we where still eating and pulled her hand out for the money. When she returned with the receipt for our group she had the audacity to ask for her tip and pressured us for the tip. We where enjoying our meal until this occurrence happened. Please address this issue Thank you.
Just there food. Ok service. It's all you can eat but didn't see/like what I would have normally taken. For example no Spring rolls.
Service... 1 star.
Ambience: 4 stars
This place is a hotspot for the Vietnamese. They serve decent buffet food and dim sum. The buffet food is usually refilled frequently, but I recommend that you grab the soups on the far side of the buffet. You order these by the bowl and they are normally hot and fresh. Their dim sum is pretty good, but you have to come early. Coming late would pretty much give you some warm leftovers. The tables for four in the dim sum sections are quite irritating. They have a crossbar where you legs are suppose to be, so you are basically spreading your legs or sitting too far back. Service... I hate to focus my review on service but this place is terrible in the service portion. They left plates on my buffet table and didn't refill my water till the very end where they bring out the check. Once that check comes out, apparently I'm their best friend so they can get that tip. (I literally had an empty plate tower next to my arm the whole time)
Quality goes up and down. I feel like their dim sum is too greasy. I used to come here a lot but have come less often recently. I also recently came for their dinner buffet... It was ok. Good variety. Also greasy. Actually I was going to give them three starts until I remembered that they have this thing at dinner where they make certain Vietnamese noodle and soup dishes fresh, and that's pretty good. Bonus star. And if you go there ON your birthday, you get a free meal. But it must be that day. And you still have to pay tax and tip. (Tip for them occasionally coming to your table and only clearing half of your dirty plates, and rarely enough that you constantly just have a couple of dirty plates in front of you. And them occasionally refilling your water if you flag a waiter down and ask.)
Excellent foods, fresh, great service. One of the best buffet bar I've been eaten elsewhere. Our whole family love it there!
