Always drop in for a hot plate even if I gotta take drive from the west side or south side. The plates are always worth it, especially with them sides.
5th Ward's Finest! While this is a general meat market in every since, there's a spot inside set up as sort of a steam table for lunch/dinner. Very tasty and seasoned. You can forego getting dessert, because the cornbread muffin is as sweet as a cup cake. Be prepared to get it to-go as there are no tables set up for dining.
I am a long time customer for years, I live in Cypress. So I decided to go all the way to Burts to shop because I wanted stuff pork chops. The store wasn't busy, got served very fast. So here's the problem I am very picky about what I purchased. I ordered stuff pork chops, and I ordered pork bones, I asked the guy for a 2 inched cut it didn't go that way yes we had some words this guy threw his hand up, I felted very disrespected from this guy
Stuffed porkchops are delicious. Sometimes I barbece them or just put them in the oven. Love the beef tips and rice from the steam table. I've enjoyed this food for decades
Since they take eat cause of Harvey lines are long as hell but the food is worth it good comfort food
