So many of yoir constitutional rights will vanish before your eyes. You may not even know you had them in the first place, since the people in this giant building whisk them off to oblivion faster than you can blink your eyes.

I don't think anyone wants to come here, it's a courthouse. I served on a jury for a few days so here are some things you should know. Take a bus or park-and-ride to save on parking fees, Metro is free when you show your jury summon or the jury bus pass a bailiff can give you. If you do park downtown, drop a pin on Google maps so you can find your car again. Show your jury badge at the door and a bailiff will bring you to the front of the security line. It's the CRIMINAL courthouse, so we were told not to wear expensive jewelry or watches, and to watch our stuff as it goes through security to make sure someone else in line doesn't steal it. It's best to put all your stuff in a purse, bag, or backpack rather than have your phone, wallet, and watch sitting in the tray during security check where someone can pick them up before you get through the line. Security check is worse than at the airport, so if you can, avoid jackets, belts and other metal you will just have to take off. In the morning, there will even be a line for the elevator so make sure you allow yourself enough time to make it to the jury room in the morning. The public hallway restrooms are gross, but the juries get there own restrooms. The court I served on at least was accomedating to jury members, we had a Keurig coffee maker, free coffee, and a mini-fridge in our jury room. It was cold in the jury room and drafty in the jury box so most of us brought a sweater. The free WiFi is super tricky to login to, some other jury men figured it out but my phone kept blocking it because it was an unsecured network. I used up my data on breaks instead. Definitely bring something like a book to keep you occupied while you're on breaks. The court would either pay to have lunch delivered to us, or we went out to eat and the court paid for up to $7 of our lunch. If you go over that amount, you pay for the rest of your lunch.

Went to watch trials not one trial happened the week of good friday

VERY, VERY unprofessional.Constant laughing and personal conversations.Moving SUPER slow ,UNORGANIZED and rude.Constant outburst laughing .Court 11 will NEVER, EVER have to worry about me again ,once this ordeal is over. Its first time for everything, and a last time too.Do better Court 11 ,because people are looking !

Just like most courts there's no justice here. They lock up the wrong people and let the right people go. Maybe they can redeem themselves by going over and grabbing Judge Roy Moore! Make sure not put him in the juvenile section he'll enjoy that! Typical Republican slimeball that deserves to be in prison reminds me of that loser trump
