This was probably the worst trip I've had in Houston to be frank. The service was mediocre, we were ignored during most of the meal, and didn't get a "taste check" from our server until my plate was pushed away. I had the salmon plate, it was awful. Flavorless and cold, actually cold. Salmon and arugula and tomato cold, yes makes sense. But the egg and hash brown were actually cold and oil soaked. The caramel latte was average. My boyfriend had the honeymoon burger which was good. Nice flavors that mended well together.
Funky cafe with limited food menu and long enough coffee types. You order at the register and food server hunts down your number posted like a sign. I ordered the BLT breakfast sandwich which was quite good. Bonus is the young woman at the register. Exquisitely beautiful in an old Hollywood way. She needs an agent. Other support staff with purple hair and an attitude to go with it will not disappoint the hip-hop crowd.
My wife and I originally stopped by to get coffee to go, but I saw the Irish coffee and we decided to sit down. It's hard for me to find alcohol I like and I've had Irish coffee in Ireland, so I had high expectations. It was decent, but not what I expected. My wife liked her flat white, the muffin was delicious, and the croissant was absolutely perfect. Their prices are typical, but their drink servings are small. The staff is nice, service is quick, and the place is cozy.
Tucked in the 1st floor of a high rise in downtown this cafe/ bar does not disappoint. My girlfriend and I went looking for breakfast and found a bit more to rave about. Her fried egg BLT was delicious and so was my burger and fries with Mexican coke. The bread was soft and buttery on both and the meat on the burger was delicious and tender, full of flavor. I would give this place a shot if you're in downtown, I know we will be going back.
Came here when they did the Lukes diner. That was awesome. I've come back since and now this place holds a place in my heart for giving me that nostalgic feeling from Gilmore girls. The drinks a great. Coffee great and staff is fun!
