Beautiful, clean park! 2 nice sized playgrounds, several pavilions for parties and gatherings. Plenty of parking availability. Community center is no longer available for rental for indoor gatherings unfortunately.
Many people would have you think that this area is full of Hoodrats and Hooligans. Assumably we would believe that the parks are the same but MacGregor Park has been a good park to me and my daughter. It has excellent Trails, a free workout room and picnic tables and barbecue grills for families. This part is one of the greatest representations of Third Ward before it became "Midtown".
Fun times
This is a public park. Baseball field tennis court. Very large, right in a urban area. Easy access by train and bus Plus parking. Wheelchair accessibility. Not the best part but certainly nice.
I love Mac Gregor park! It is so dog friendly and the people there are really nice.
