This is a beautiful park, but I give it two stars because I don't feel safe leaving my car alone in the parking lot. There are a lot of automotive break-ins here. I've also heard multiple gun shots while on the trails. Overall, I don't think it's worth risking my vehicle and it's contents. I'll stick to another park.

This park is one of my favorites places to go visit to fish, relax, meditate, take pictures and simply appreciate wildlife and nature. Therefore my experience has been great. I recommend this place for families who want to spend some time in the breeze and wind outside of the urbanization. I had seen channel catfish and bass fish on Halls Bayou. This park has a lot of trails for pedestrians and I recommend yo visit on spring since there are many wild creatures fun to watch such as soft-shell turtles, ducks, snakes, etc. The only downfall is that this park is unsafe and dirty. I would say you are risking your life if you decide to come to this park since there has been thiefs stealing belogings from vehicles on the parking lot and hidden people with fire arms shooting. One day we decided to stay for more time and then suddenly when we were leaving we hear someone walking between the woods. It scared us so we decided to leave immediately as possible. Furthermore, excessive contamination in the bayou and lakes are present since some individuals do not care for the environment and throw trash into the water. I believe there should be more police officers on the park to arrest all those criminals who ruin the day for many people and build a more safe atmosphere for the communities who want to visit this place.

Only reason I give it a 4 is cuz there's no actual restrooms, only portable restroom and everyone knows they don't stay clean for a good while

Beautiful scenery once you reach the halfway point! Definitely take a bike because it's a long walk from end to end! Stay hydrated also!

Loved fishing in pond. But not many fish
