A truly special place to remember a horrific time in history. The entire museum contains many symbolisms and many stories from Holocaust survivors. If you are a student - elementary to college - it is a place you must go and visit. Truly a eye-opening experience. Grateful we have one of the largest Holocaust museums in the country in Houston, TX.

I visited the HMH a few years ago and it was the most humbling experience ever. What a beautiful experience. The exhibits were so heart felt and extremely touching. So sad yet so lucky for the ones that made it out alive.

It was sobering. I knew the major details of the Holocaust, but there were so many things I was unaware of. Walking through the museum was heartbreaking. Seeing pictures and reading what so called humans can do to other human beings tore at me. Watching the interviews with Holocaust survivors at the end had us all near tears, including our 2 kids. As difficult as it was to see and hear, it was necessary. No photography was allowed, but there are a lot of pictures blown up and described, and memorabilia under glass cases. A must see.

Lots of things to look at and a myriad of emotions to feel. It is a rewarding experience. Not one that should be passed up.

Free passes for students. Free parking on the premises.

Very organized museum and you'll always leave with a very informed and transformed mind.

Absolutely loved It! This was my 1st time going, ironically on the day they are shutting down for a new location to be even bigger. We had the kids so we didn't see as much as we had liked but, it was amazing. The history, the knowledge.. It touches you deeply to read, see and hear what happened. Definitely will be going to the new location!
