Went in for a tax return transcript but didn't have an appointment. They gave me the number, I called, got an appointment for the same day. Everything was so fast and everyone was very friendly.
My first bit of advice is to make an appointment. I made an appointment and it was smooth sailing to talk to an agent. The security guard was extremely nice and personable and I enjoyed chatting with her. Everyone was friendly and helped me more than I expected from an IRS office especially after reading some of the reviews. The only weird thing was the front desk didn't want my military ID as a form of identification...she wanted my state issued drivers license. It was just odd because a federal ID is a lot harder to receive and forge than a state issued ID but whatever...my overall experience was great. I'm not as terrified of the IRS office now!
Drop off current year only, any other year make appointment...YOU ARE THE GREATEST...
They say you can process your payment same day on line. This is not true. You still have to wait for a pin that will take 7 days to be sent. They don't know what's going on.
Ignorant people working here, ask a question and they don't seem to be any help, came in for a college transcript and left missing my graduation 4 years later, slow people with no type of knowledge. The security guy thinks he's a real cop thinking he's Obama's body guard. Bad service don't recommend this place. I think they need new employees a bit more qualified for this job and actually enjoy life.
