My mom recently went into the Gears location planning to file her taxes. She was missing some documents so she decided not to file her taxes. Before leaving my mom confirmed with Brandi the manager at the Gears location that she would not be filing her taxes due to the missing documents and she agreed that she would not file her taxes. Next thing you know my mom receives a deposit from the IRS. Colbert Ball filed her taxes without my mom signing any final documents or receiving any of her tax papers. When she reached out to their support email she receives a call from Monica the Regional manager who said she would resolve the situation. Monica then begins to avoid her calls, says she will be at the office at 11am and she not, says she will be there til 7pm show up and she is not! Monica has been rude and incapable of resolving the situation due to a lack of unprofessionalism. When asked for some sort of contact for Doug Cornelius (the owner) she was told he doesn't have any. My mom was told her information would be passed on to Doug and he would call her if he likes. I would rate this franchise a 0 if that was even an option.

I gave this location a 4 because of a prior poor customer service incident with Monica; however, after speaking with Doug my perception of this office changed. Doug was very professional, pleasant, and courteous. I enjoyed speaking with him and he made me realize that people deserve a second chance. I will honestly say that there prices are cheaper than other tax brands in our area and I do recommend this location!
