Frustrated parent.

My daughter is currently attending this school and I still do not know who is the school principal, because I have never meet her . I guess she is more busy than the President. In regards to the school performance , the school is somewhat bad and somewhat good. The good part of the school are the trips to Washington or New York finance by the parent of course but with good leadership :) and the clubs that they have.

The question is : Will I recommend this school to you? The answer is no!

It has been a positive experience thus far. Hoping for a new theatre teacher soon as Mr. Hernandez said goodbye this year. Will be interesting to see who the new Principal is, too. Hoping for good things ahead. GO PURPLE PUPS!

Great band teachers, my kid developed lots of passion thanks for the amazing teachers in this place !

It's an amazing environment, I have a 7th & 8th and they are super happy !

Sincerely :

My daughter comes to me and tells me drama every day saying how ,the kids smoke and vape and girls roll up their skirts so short you see their shorts and girls twerk in front of traffick some teachers are racisist , and how the kids curse. It has a good education system but the atmosphere is somewhat positive, also it is not very safe at pick up because strangers walk by and kids could be kidnapped. -

If you are a minority this is not the school for your kid.

My experience with this school has been quite a journey .

I vo there and i love it, friendly kids and teachers. It also has the best environment

The bad part : Since the beginning of the year, my daughter has been bullying and she has lost 3-4 English and History notebooks, all from her school locker. As for the teachers this has also been quite a journey too. All I can said is that sometimes when your kid turn in the home works on time they are mark as they did not turn it in and if you let the teacher know then they find and excuse to mark their homework as late. I have problems like this with her Spanish teacher and English teacher too. I have also notify the assistant principal about it, but to be quite honest I feel they do not care much about it and they tell you what ever and the problem is not solve. The school lunch is an issue too. For instant , if you qualify for reduce lunch they will take it away from you, because somehow the school has no reduce or free lunch. Could you imagine living pay check to paycheck and having to pay for full price lunch? Since the school is located in that "nice neighborhood" some how the school do not have that program. At list I was told that!

I did many sacrifices to have my kid in this school because I was told by many of their great reputation and I did many sacrifices to have my child in that school , including moving to the area and paying a high rent, however I feel that all of those sacrifices are in vane. I want to add the ridiculous policy that they have included for this school year (2016-2017). The kids get detention if the are not using their school id 24/7. Now keep in mind that school is always under lock down and also the kids where school uniforms with the school logo in it. No need of id!

Since this is a free country , I am going to said exactly what my child and I have experience.
