Not New York...so get there early if you like Salsa. It starts to disappear as the night goes on..Good dancers are a rare find, however there are a few. I have been told this is the best Salsa spot Houston has to offer.
We went due to a friend's raving review. She had a blast with her girls the first time they went.
Good live music and DJ. Lively crowd...loved it!
Music was great, and we danced for about an hour until the same bouncer came back as a high school hero. He put a damper on our fun because my buddy was "not dancing" while on the dance floor... He was crossing the floor back from the restroom and was made felt like a criminal.
...Our first mistake was to arrive with more guys than girls in the group. I was wearing a button up shirt, pants, and sneakers and nearly got kicked out because the bouncer thought I was wearing running shoes. I was not, and other men in the club were wearing dirty vans and shorts. Made no sense but once the bouncer saw he was losing a wealthy patron of i wasn't let in, "they made an exception." Pretty upsetting right off the bat but we went in and bought drinks. The manager welcomed us and hoped we have a good time.
Went there on a Friday after work, like @10:00pm, pay the cover charge, $10.00. The music was fine, but no place to seat, every table with a reserved name on them. No bar stools around the bar. And of course the VIP area guarded like Fort Knox.
Will definitely not come back. Don't go if you're not a girl; you'll be on a slippery slope to begin with.
My friend's wife attempted to sit down after dancing a while and our same friend from the front came by, said that chair couldn't be sit on if it wasn't AT the table and pushed her off very rudely. Push men all you want but that is no way to treat a lady.
Great Music! No youngsters causing problems. Waitress' are great and attentive.
