-Director answered his phone in the middle of the services - in front of everyone.

This funeral home director had the nerve to take a SELFIE with my cousin's coffin. When I confronted him he said he was fixing his tie. Later he was sitting down (on our family chairs at the cemetery) and I saw his phone with several SELFIES he had taken not only at the funeral home but the ones he took AS HE WAS DRIVING THE HEARSE in the processional! DISGUSTING. I found him on Facebook and this was not the first time. I am filing a formal complaint with the Texas Funeral Services Commission.
Advice: GO ELSEWHERE. A place that will respect grieving families.
I attempted to reach out to Joaquin (Jack) Leal the owner. I left a message with a member of his staff but I did not receive a return call. This was also not the only issue we had. Here is a list:
-The restrooms are filthy.
-My cousin's face was not shaved as requested.
- My cousin's hair was not cut as my aunt had requested.
-The director did not allow the family to have their private goodbye before he closed the coffin.
Made are family feel at home . Did a wonderful job on my uncle . David Jones thank you so much . We went to other funeral homes in the area but we chose Leal Funeral Home , away from the small funeral homes . This location was very big for our family .
-There are holes in the ceiling tiles.
Once again I have to compliment the people of this funeral home. The whole staff have been very good to us. We had to bury our mother in July and they we truly very professional and very helpful and nice and now here in September we have to say good by to our brother and they have gone above and beyond for us and I will use them again when I have to they are a blessing to my sister and myself and all our family god bless the gentlemen and their staff.
Very nice people.
