Why wait until now???....Don't be surprised if Jesus Christ himself shows up to settle a ticket, they did mentioned the second coming of Jesus Christ you know...
Speed traps that exist(ed) in the middle of rural East Texas, and poor cities elsewhere across the 'lower 48', found the initial implementation and decades long continuation of the 55 mph national speed limit in the early 1970's an act of God, in regards to the fattening and eventual over stuffing of their municipal coffers. Their cityscapes turning one by one into ghost towns, as the oil underneath them had all been sucked away, while the soil in their pastures and cornfields became contaminated by genetically modified organisms, which in turn drew the ire of the evil corporate overlords in this market/planet destroying business, MONSANTO.
This place here is a pathetic excuse for an island city speed trap.
I'm sure this place is great and whatnot...But a friend of mine received a warrant for an arrest for an unpaid traffic ticket from 15 years ago!!! I found it hilarious that these guys said if he doesn't pay it, his license will be suspended...But he explained that he hasn't had a license since 04' and to his knowledge, he remembers he settled this a long time ago, but who keeps paperwork dating back from when father time was around? Especially if you settled and resolved it.
